Audio Consulting was attending the Eyear  2007 show together with Nasotec  in Seoul from 27.04.07 to 29.04.07 at the COEX 3 center

The  system was run entirely powered by batteries, including the turntable, the phono preamplifier and the power amplifier.

Amplifiers:

1. MIPA

Special version of the MIPA (Mains Independant Power Amplifier)  run on external 120 Ah batteries
The 30 watt /channel MIPA (Mains Independant power Amplifier) amplifier is a battery powered solid state design.
It uses input and output transformers, very high speed capacitors in the power supply and the highest quality connectors from WBT and Eichmann Technologies.
According to Audio Consulting's general philosophy, the cabinet is made of wood (MDF) only.
High Power version featuring 120 w/channel now available.

2. SWGPA (Silver Wire Gain Power Amplifier)

Special version of the SWGPA (Silver Wire Gain Power Amplifier)  run on external 200 Ah batteries
This 8 watt /channel  amplifier is a battery powered solid state design.
Voltage gain is achieved using silver wire transformers.
It uses input, voltage gain and output transformers, very high speed capacitors in the power supply and the highest quality connectors from WBT and Eichmann Technologies.
According to Audio Consulting's general philosophy, the cabinets of the reference series are made using special wood with very attractive wooden veneers. No lacquer but organic oils and bee wax are being used as finish. The buttons are massive Cocobolo, hand polished, and again, no lacquer.

The line preamplifier:

SWGLA (Silver Wire Gain Line Amplifier).
Unity gain, Solid State stage drives silver wire TVC with 10dB voltage gain in the TVC.
According to Audio Consulting's general philosophy, the cabinets of the reference series are made using special wood with very attractive wooden veneers. No lacquer but organic oils and bee wax are being used as finish. The buttons are massive Cocobolo, hand polished, and again, no lacquer.

The Phono preamplifiers:

1.Silver Rock Phono Reference

One of the two phono preamplifiers was Audio Consulting's Silver Rock Phono Signature , featuring 4 silver coils per channel, one being the MC step-up transformer:
No capacitor in the signal path here, as the RIAA is achieved using only resistors ( one in silver) and silver coils.
Battery power supply allows for extremely low noise as many visitors could notice.

1.Silver WireGain Phono Amplifier

Voltage gain only in tranformers : 6 silver wire transformers achieve 75 dB of voltage gain.
RIAA uses 3 silver coils in an R-L topology.
Bird's eye maple/ palissander veneer on pine wood chassis for best sound.
Balanced version available using twice as many transformers/coils.
We shoewed a special version with built in TVC and phase switch.

Silver Rock MC Step up transformer:

Silver Rock MC step up transformer for the use with MC catridges is also  available separately.
20 or 26dB of voltage gain are achieved using very exotic magnetics and our silver wire. Cabinet is made of natural wood and veneer.
No lacquer but only  organic bee wax.

The analogue front ends:

The "R-evolution" turntable by Audio Consulting

This turntable is made of wood only.
It is battery powered thus totally freed from mains problems. Power consumption is below 4 watts.
Even the active cooling of some of the parts is battery powered as this has a very clear impact on the sound.

The "R-M" tonearm by Audio Consulting

The tonearm is made of 40'000 year old swamp Kaori and stabilized  with several layers of C37.
The only metals here are the unipivot needle, whereas the axe and counterweight are all made of appropriate woods.
Wiring uses AC's custom silver wire  right to the RCA plugs in one piece.

A Technics SP10 MKII by Nasotec:

This beautiful turntable was made by Nasotec. Using a vintage SP 10, a wooden plinth was added and a totally independant massive brass tonarm base was bearing an SME V tomearm.
The cartridge was a Lyra Parnassus.

Digital front end and its mains filter:

Denon DVD 3910 multi standard player with heavely modified power supply and silver wire OPT's.
This mod is available separately  for your Denon player and may be get from Nasotec.
Nasotec also uses a LClock XO3 from LC Audio Technology.
We  used two additionnal mains isolation transformers in series(cabinet by Nasotec) in order to maximise mains filtering on the CD player.
Wooden lenses from Arbelos Elektroakustik were installed under the CD player.

Speakers:

Speakers were the Dulcets by Mantra Sound from Italy.
100dB/w/m efficency out of a very clever horn based design

Various:

The beautiful stands used under all AC and Nasotec devices, as well as very  clever isolation technologies came from "Hifi stay", a very active Seoul based company.
